Red Roof Frame Shop

The Red Roof Frame Shop was opened in 1994 by Bob McQuade in the carriage barn of an historic 200 year old colonial house on High Street in Enfield, New Hampshire. Intriqued with the art and business of picture framing from years of matting and framing his own line of nature photography, Bob decided to see if Upper Valley customers could be coaxed into traveling to Enfield for their custom picture framing needs.

To get them to do so would require a little something extra, and that something extra was going to be good old fashioned SERVICE. The Red Roof Frame Shop was built on offering the customer not only the largest and best selection of framing materials available, but providing them with fast turnaround, skilled framing techniques and design, friendly, courteous and helpful advice, and an absolute guarantee of complete satisfaction with the finished product.

In 1996 the business was expanded into the main building to create space for a much larger frame design room as well as provide four rooms to display and sell framed posters, prints and R. A. McQuade Nature Photograpy. This expansion also allowed use of the full carriage barn for production facilities for the rapidly expanding frame business. To better serve our growing customer base, in 1999 a second frame shop was opened in the Colonial Plaza in West Lebanon, New Hampshire. At that time, the Red Roof Gallery in Enfield moved all posters and photography to the new West Lebanon shop and converted to a fine art gallery showcasing the original art work of local and regional artists. In 2002, the West Lebanon shop moved to larger quarters in the same plaza.
